How to create Gsd file of PLC S7-300.

S7 SIMATIC MANAGER TRAINING CHAPTER -07

 This chapter describe about how create GSD file of S7-300 plc using I-device. This also helps to how to communicate plc with other Active partner ex PLC-to-PLC.


  Step 1: Create new project in Simatic Manager Step7 5.5 with proper name and path. Create S7 logic & hardware configuration.(for more see in hardware configuration chapter)

Step 2:  Open Hardware Configuration and select plc PN port properties (right click on plc PN port ->Object Properties)

Step 3: Select I-Device bar in new window.

Activate I –device mode.

Add input and output as your required data sharing bet Active Device.

Check all properties and save setting.

Save and Compile Hardware configuration

Step 4: select option in Hardware configuration window and go for

Option ->create gsd file for I-device.

Naming proper and create the GSD.

 You can Export, Install This GSD and Use it in Other Partners hardware.
